Information for No Bill™ Customers Waiting For Installation

I have signed my contract what happens next?

Our Customer Concierge will call you and congratulate you on the first step to living the bill-free life! They will also explain the next steps and only request further information if it’s required, for example, additional documentation may be requested. Depending on your state, we may need your Rates Notice in order to process paperwork on your behalf.

Finance

Our Customer Concierge will also discuss Finance options, If you are not financing the system, nor eligible for any government rebates, we will simply require a deposit.

We provide our customers with access to the following:

  • All Reposit customers have access to our trusted Finance Broker, David Johnson at Home Loan Partners if you’re looking to refinance your mortgage.

  • All customers who have their home loan with Commonwealth Bank have access to our trusted CBA Home Lending Specialist, Jodie Heaton, who can assist with getting a 3.99% interest rate on a green loan.

  • In the ACT you may be eligible for the Sustainable Household Scheme, gaining you access to an interest free loan of up to $15,000 through Brighte.

  • In ACT, NSW, QLD & VIC you’ll have access to our competitive rate with Plenti, subject to eligibility of their green product.

  • In VIC you may be eligible for the Solar Victoria PV Rebate and PV/Battery Interest Free Loan.

Network Application

We will file the necessary paperwork to have the solar and battery system installed with your Distributed Network Service Provider (DNSP). This paperwork advises your Network of exactly what we’re planning to install and ensures that, aside from being safe to install in your area, will have the necessary export limit requirements.

Installation

Once all this paperwork has been completed and approved, you’ll be contacted to discuss availability for the installation. Our Customer Concierge will discuss what will happen on the day and what will be required from you, for example, having spare roof times available. You will need to be available when the installers arrive, and before they depart upon completion of the installation. It is important to go through the shutdown procedure with the installer before they leave your home, as well as sign the necessary forms.

Day of Installation

Providing all goes well, the installation should be completed within the timeframe advised, typically between 1-2 business days. This is subject to a multitude of factors, such as weather conditions, roof condition or even access to spare tiles. In order to have a smooth installation, we suggest clearing the roof of debris beforehand and having spare tiles available. Please also keep children and pets away from the installation areas.

If you are getting Black Out Protection (BOP), please keep in mind it is not possible to have a house fully backed up with the Emergency Power Supply box we use. People will typically backup their kitchen circuit and lights. It is possible that the installation of the BOP may highlight a pre-existing electrical fault. This will be due to the fact that the BOP needs to be installed with a safety switch, which has been known to cause appliances to stop working. This is not something we can foresee, nor is it something we take responsibility for. If this happens to you, please contact a local electrician to resolve.

After Installation

In ACT, NSW & QLD your system will remain switched on when the installers leave. In VIC, the system will be turned on to test and verify that everything is functioning as it’s meant to be, however the installer will turn it back off again before leaving. The system is not allowed to be turned back on until it has been inspected by the appropriate Victorian authority. It's not mandated for the electrician or you to be present at the time of the inspection. But please ensure the technician can access the inverter, batteries, and meter board.

Our Customer Concierge will call on the day the installation is completed, or the following day, to congratulate you and confirm any next steps.

A Certificate of Electrical Safety (CES) will be issued and sent to Reposit Power. Once received, we will be able to commission the system and send out the No Bill App credentials to you.

Smart Meter Upgrade

In some cases we will need to organise a smart meter upgrade for your home. This is to ensure the right hardware is on site to measure both imports and exports from the grid, rather than just imports. As part of No Bill™, you won't be charged for this, but a technician from the meter provider will need to attend your home to replace your meter. This will result in your power being switched off for 1-2 hours. You will be notified by either us or the electricity retailer when this is scheduled.

When Can I Access The No Bill™App?

At this stage we provide you with App access once we commission the system. The commissioning step ensures that we have collected everything we need to call an installation officially complete - the main thing we wait for here is the Certificate of Electrical Safety (CES) in VIC or the Certificate of Compliant Electrical Work (CCEW) in all other states. Outside of VIC, we usually receive this document from the installer pretty quickly, usually the business day after the installation. In VIC, the CES is only issued after the Electrical Inspection when the system is switched on, we apologise for this delay - given the system is switched off, the information in the app will be limited anyway.

For more information on the No Bill™App, please see our Guide.

How do I monitor my usage to check if my consumption is within the limit?

You can track your usage at any time in the No Bill™ App. For more information on the No Bill™App, please see our Guide.

What happens after my 7 years No Bill™ term expires?

After your first 7 years of Reposit No Bill™ you will be given a choice between:

  1. Replacing the batteries (your solar should be fine) on your No Bill system and starting another No Bill plan

  2. Continuing to use your solar and battery system without starting another No Bill plan - and having your electricity bills return.

There will be a cost to replace your batteries after the first 7 year period, and that price will be determined closer to the rejoin date.
